Compliant venues accreditation achieved
After taking part in the ‘Understanding Healthcare Sector Meetings & Events’ training and undergoing a rigorous accreditation procedure, Yarnfield Park Training & Conference Centre has been awarded the ‘Green Stamp’ approval for Healthcare and Life Science meetings. What does that mean for our customers? The solution reflects the need of the healthcare sector to meet, communicate and learn via face to face meetings, delivering scientific content in an appropriate environment.
Perceptions of the sector have in the past focused on lavish meetings, particularly deluxe and sporting locations diverting participants from the purpose of the event and inducing them to attend regardless of the content being delivered. Across many sectors but especially the healthcare sector this is changing and transparency and appropriateness are benchmarks to how meeting organisers deliver their events. There are a number of different codes used to regulate the healthcare sector in the UK and Internationally.
The solution has brought to life a transparent and detailed metric together with comprehensive sector training to accredit venues as being appropriate for and knowledgeable about meetings for healthcare professionals.
Trident Hospitality
Yarnfield Park is working with Trident Consulting to help increase the profile of the venue with both agents and end clients alike. Both Kevan Holland and Martin Dempster from Trident Hospitality Consultants have extensive knowledge of the industry and will work closely with the team at Yarnfield Park to ensure even more people are learning about the great experience we can offer clients from a wide range of sectors.
Christmas 2013
Is it that time already? Christmas will soon be here! What is your company doing? Why not come along to Yarnfield Park? We can offer function rooms seating up to 300 guests. With prices from just £27.50 per person, we will host your night and include a 3 course dinner and 1/2 a bottle of wine per person. For the drivers amongst you we are delighted to offer you complimentary soft drinks all night.
Bedroom Upgrades
Our ongoing programme of improvements continues apace here at Yarnfield Park. We’ve just finished an upgrade to a second bedroom block which means that both Derwent and Grasmere have new flat panel TVs and upgraded linen. This along with the new Wi-Fi system rolled out across all 4 accommodation blocks earlier in the summer allows our guests to enjoy an even more enjoyable stay. Also earlier this year we completed the twinning of just over 60 bedrooms in Windermere allowing us to sleep over 400 delegates on site at any one time.

We are proud to be supporting such an outstanding cause. Do you know a children’s hospice only receives 10% government funding towards its costs? Everything else has to be raised through charity events.
As part of a series of events at Yarnfield Park this year the trust is holding an exhibition of the children’s art work here at Yarnfield Park on the 12th September. Complimentary drinks & canapés will be available so please come along and support this great cause. Our team will be on hand for anyone wishing to have a show round of the facilities.
