Yarnfield Park is the stage for young business talent

Eight student teams from the Stafford and Stone area had the chance to present their new product to a panel of ‘Dragons’ as part of this year’s Young Enterprise competition at Yarnfield Park Training and Conference Centre on Wednesday 19th November.

Each team had 15 minutes in front of 4 members of the panel; 5 minutes to present and 10 minutes for feedback.

The panel included Yarnfield Park Training and Conference Centre’s Commercial Sales Manager Jane Hemmings, John Sewell of Stafford Business Systems, Gayle Norbury of Imstra Marketing as well as last year’s finalist MD, Ignite’s Katy Minshull.

Products ranged from personalised t-shirts, recycled vinyl made into bowls and clocks, a child’s storybook, recycled china homeware products and a hot drink cup sleeve.

Congratulations to all of the students that took part. Jane and the other judges were very impressed by the standard of the products and the presentations made by everyone.
